Your finished, edited manuscript — in Word, PDF, or Markdown — and an author photograph. That's it. D&H handles everything else: typesetting, cover design, descriptions, metadata, ISBN, and publication. You choose from multiple cover concepts and description variants, approving the final versions before we publish.

Yes. Your royalties are calculated on net profit, meaning the amount left after printing, postage, and delivery costs. For example, if a book sells for £12.99 and printing and postage cost £6.95, you keep the full £6.04 net profit. Up to £500 per month in net earnings across all your titles and all channels (BookClub2K, KDP, IngramSpark, and others), you pay zero commission. Above £500 in a given month, D&H takes 10% only on the amount over the threshold. So if you earn £550 net profit in a month, our fee is just £5 (10% of the £50 above £500). At £1,000 in monthly net earnings, you take home £935 after the membership fee. A traditionally published author earning the same would receive around £150.

On your own Amazon KDP and IngramSpark accounts. D&H assists with account setup where needed and provides step-by-step guidance. You retain full access to your publishing accounts at all times. D&H Publishing International appears as the publisher of record via the ISBN, giving your book the credibility of a recognised imprint while you keep control of your retail accounts and pricing.

Every manuscript is evaluated by our AI-powered scouting system across five criteria: writing quality, originality, commercial potential, completeness, and audience clarity. If your manuscript scores below the threshold, we return it with specific feedback and suggestions for improvement. Your membership fee is not affected, and you're welcome to submit a revised or alternative manuscript.

You can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice. On cancellation, you receive all your manuscript files, interior PDFs, and EPUBs. D&H issues 60 days' notice of ISBN withdrawal. You may purchase a perpetual licence for your cover and description files at £99 per book, or publish independently with new assets. BookClub2K and AuthorCentral listings are removed after 60 days.

Yes. Every book published through the D&H membership receives a free ISBN from our pool, purchased in bulk from Nielsen. D&H Publishing International is listed as the publisher of record on all industry databases including Nielsen BookData, Amazon, IngramSpark, and library cataloguing systems.

English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, and Japanese. All production tools support all seven languages, and your book can be published in any of them.

A bespoke service separate from membership. We write, design, and publish a real book on Amazon in someone else's name, a permanent, tangible legacy. Turnaround is typically four to six weeks from brief to listing. Popular for retirements, birthdays, weddings, and memorials.
